Schengen Shuffle
The act of organising your travel movements around the Schengen allowance in order to optimise your possible travel time whilst still keeping within the rules.
The United Kingdom has never been a part of the Schengen agreement, however it was a member of the EU and therefore shared the EU agreement of free movement between other EU countries with no border controls.
When the UK left the EU on 1st January 2021, it inherently lost the right to free movement from the EU agreement, and now travellers will need to rely on the Schengen visa to facilitate their short term travels or apply for a visa for more long term trips.
Don't panic!
We have developed a calculator to help you work it all out 😁
The calculator can be used with either existing plans to verify they're within the allowance, or experiment with possible future dates to optimise your travel time.
We have future plans on improvements to the current calculator and also a new calendar view so it's easier to experiment around with dates.
